Staff travel information
Westjet only provides loads for all seat availability. There is an economy plus cabin but it isn't separated in our load info.
Unsold seats will only show up to 40 though more may be available.
Our offices are located in Canada, and are open Mon-Fri from 0700-1700 MST, closed on weekends and STAT holidays.
Westjet currently does not oversell flights.
Employees can only book standby flights two weeks in advance. All standby travellers must adhere to a business casual dress code. Standby travellers may be offered an upgrade based on availability and priority.
Checked bags cut off 45 minutes to departure.

It is a Transport Canada requirement for checked baggage to be transported with a guest on the same flight. The checked baggage must not depart on a flight prior to the guest.
If you are bumped from a flight your baggage will be pulled. Checked baggage exceeding the weight, size and/or the number of pieces per guest are subject to fees as well as space and weight availability for transport.
Baggage will be checked to the WestJet final destination or the approved interline final destination as indicated on the guest's itinerary.

Each guest is permitted to check one piece of baggage at no charge providing the items meet the following size and weight allowance:
Carry on baggage:
One free piece of carry-on baggage and one personal item per guest in a paid seat.
Maximum size carry on 53 cm x 23 cm x38 cm (21"x 9" x 15" )
Maximum size personal item 41 cm x 15 cm x 33 cm (16" x 6" x 13")
Child/Infant Baggage Allowance
Lap Held Infant
Fare Paying child/infant One piece of child/infant equipment (e.g. approved restraint system, playpen or stroller) will be permitted at no charge in addition to the checked baggage allowance
Business casual. No sandals, ripped jeans, short skirts, bare shoulders.

If you are bumped from a flight you may be asked to relist via myIDTravel, please see a WestJet representative at the airport.
Within Canada - You may present yourself at our check in counters no more than 3 hours prior to fight time. Check in must be completed 60 minutes before scheduled departure times.
Any trans-border – You may present yourself at our check in counters no more than 3 hours prior to fight time. Check in must be completed 2 hours prior to scheduled departure time.
When there are two or more interline employees travelling on the same flight, the time of check-in at the station where you are boarding your flight will determine the onload/offload order.
If available will be offered an upgrade based off priority.
Refunds on fully cancelled itineraries will appear on your credit card within 3-5 business days. Refunds on partially-flown itineraries will be processed within 30 days of cancellation. If you need further assistance please contact email@example.com with your Airline and employee number.

Lap Held infants cannot be processed via myIDTravel at this time. If you are traveling with an infant WS asks that you email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following details at least 5 days prior to your intended travel date. We will add the infant to your existing itinerary and email the updated PNR to you. International taxes are applicable for infant tickets.
Infants traveling on last-minute bookings and trans-border flights will be ticketed at the airport. Plan for a few extra minutes at Check-in.
If you wish to use an infant seat you will be required to purchase a child ticket as they will require a seat.
