Staff travel information
For SAS short-haul flights, the two available cabin classes are SAS Plus and SAS Go. For long-haul flights, SAS offers SAS Business Class, SAS Plus, and SAS Go.
Generally, standard rules apply. Certain special baggage cannot be added to unconfirmed tickets.
Non-rev check-in is generally available through regular channels, including the SAS app, online, or airport kiosks. Check-in timeframes may vary by flight but are typically available at least 24 hours before departure.
On-load typically occurs around boarding time, though provisional acceptance may happen earlier. For SAS Plus and SAS Business Class on long-haul flights, early acceptance should not be expected.
As a non-rev passenger, please do not request upgrades. If needed, revenue passengers will be upgraded to make room for staff travelers in their listed class. SAS has two channels for revenue passenger upgrades:
There is no waiting list for revenue upgrades, as accepted or purchased upgrades are processed immediately. Bid acceptance typically starts 24 hours before departure, and availability in SAS Business Class and SAS Plus can change significantly during this period. Not all responders will have access to availability reports that include upgrades.
